A 15 year study conducted by the National Cancer Institute reports that women who work at home are at 54% higher risk of death from cancer than those who work away from home. The report indicated that this was due to higher exposure to household chemicals.

It also reports that breast cancer has increased by 26% since 1982 and that quotidien use of detergents, household cleaners and pesticides are the probable cause.
